How to Use Competitive Benchmarking
Competitive Benchmarking helps you understand how your online reputation compares to your competitors. You can track performance metrics, monitor new reviews, and gain insights into review content across different brands.
Accessing Competitive Benchmarking
To get started, navigate to the Reporting section in your dashboard and select Competitive Benchmarking.
View existing reports: The main page displays a table of all benchmarking reports you have access to, including their name, date range, schedule, and business coverage.
Create a new report: Click the Create Benchmarking Report button located at the top right of the page.
Setting Up a Report
When setting up your report, you will configure several key areas:
General Information: Provide a Report Name and Description for your records.
Select Businesses: Choose the specific businesses or groups you want to analyze.
Select Report Segments: Choose the data points you want to track.
Competitive Summary: Tracks all-time metrics, including the number of businesses, total reviews, average reviews per business, and star ratings.
New Reviews and Responses: Tracks metrics for the current reporting period, such as the number of new reviews, review responses, response percentages, and average ratings.
New Review Contents Breakdown: Provides an AI-generated summary of reviews within the reporting period.
Competitor Details: Add the brands you wish to compare against. You can include up to 5 competitor brands, including their website links and brand aliases.
Update Frequency: Choose how often your report runs.
One Time: A single report covering the past 30 days.
Managing and Viewing Reports
Once you have created and run a report, you can manage it from the main dashboard:
Processing: If a report is still compiling data, it will show a “Processing” status in the list of reports.
Exporting: You can download the full report as a PDF, or download individual report segments as CSV files.
Viewing: Clicking on a report will take you to the detailed reporting view, where you can inspect the data for your selected brands and competitors.
