Including images in social media posts is a great way to make posts more engaging, and sometimes it is necessary to crop an image so that it meets the guidelines of a social network. This is a quick and simple process with our social media image cropping tool.
How to Crop Images for Social Media Posts
To crop an image to post to social media, you must first begin the process of creating a post and upload an image. First, navigate to the Schedule & Post page in the dashboard:
Next, select a social network like Instagram that has strict guidelines for posting images:
Next, upload an image to include in your post. The cropping option will only appear if your image does not already meet the guidelines for one of the selected social networks. Click on the “Crop Image” link below the image preview at the bottom of the Schedule & Post page:
Once the cropping tool is open, you can drag the cropped area on your image to select the position of the cropped image. You can also select the crop ratio at the bottom to choose how you would like to crop the image:
Once you are finished selecting how you would like to crop the image, click the Apply button to apply the cropping. You are now ready to publish your post!
